Mojca Drevenšek is a senior communications consultant at Consensus Communications and President of EN-LITE Society for strengthening energy literacy. She has more than 15 years of experience in energy communications at the level of management support. In the past 10 years, she especially focused on communications activities in terms of energy literacy and awareness raising. She also has extensive experience in media relations and at producing informational/educational publications. She has an academic background in Communications Science (University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Social Sciences), Sociology (University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Social Sciences), and Civil Law (University of Maribor, Faculty of Law). She received the following prizes and scientific awards: (1) 1999 – National communications award for the public awareness campaign (promoting clean drinking water, client: Waterworks public utility), 2000, awarded by Public Relations Society of Slovenia; (2) 2000 - University award “Prešernova nagrada” (awarded by the Faculty of Social Sciences) for the best Bachelor thesis, written in the field of health communications; (3) 2004 - European “Jos Willems Award” for the best Master thesis on the European level in the field of environmental communications, awarded by EUPRERA – European Public Relations Education and Research Association; (4) 2017 – National award by the Business Academy Finance and Jozef Stefan Institute for the national energy literacy project EN-LITE.
